Assistant Property Manager

Pay Scale: $23 - $25/hour

Seeking a full-time Assistant Property Manager for a 75-unit mixed income rental property for seniors and families located in Newton Centre. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience and be well organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to multi-task. Proficient verbal, written and computer skills a must.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Building positive relationships with prospective and current residents
• Rent collection and deposits (maintain delinquency reports and follow up as necessary)
• Filing
• Processing rental applications
• Tenant orientation
• Maintaining waitlist
• Showing apartments and respond to inquiries
• Processing move-ins/outs and lease renewal letters
• Reviewing and approving property invoices
• Meeting regularly with NCDF’s Senior Property Manager and attend other meetings as requested
• Assisting with the oversight of timely and successful completion of maintenance requests and routine preventive maintenance; coordinating work with subcontractors when necessary
• Assisting in the annual income certification process
• Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations
• Assisting with annual apartment inspections

Qualifications:

• Experience in Property Management with knowledge of HUD’s Section 8 Program and REAC inspections a plus
• Strong organizational, computer, marketing and resident relations skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Able to travel between properties and other locations as required
